Dear Bride and Groom,
You will need to obtain a Marriage License from a Town Clerk's Office in New York prior to your wedding ceremony. A Marriage License is good for up to 60 days. Contact the Town Clerk's Office for specific requirements and to verify the time frames.
After your wedding ceremony, I will obtain the required signatures, sign the Marriage License and file it with the Town Clerk's Office. You will receive your certified Marriage Certificate from the Town Clerk after it has been filed.
I recommend you give me your Marriage License before your wedding ceremony to make it one less thing for you to keep track of on your wedding day.
Sincerely,
Reverend Dan Callahan - Your Wedding Officiant
