As I was helping a couple prepare for their summer wedding, they asked me to say something light hearted about life, love and their favorite place- the beach!

I found a lot of playful sayings from t-shirts, posters and social media posts using some funny play on words. Here are a few:

Be shore of yourself.

Come out of your shell.

Take time to coast.

Avoid pier pressure.

Sea life’s beauty.

But, the more I thought the more I saw there was something deeper to be found. So offer this reflection to you.

May your love be as deep as the ocean and as wide as the sky.!

Be like the surf to each other. It continues to kiss the shore no matter what!

Just as the tide ebbs and flows, always draw your life and love from each other and give it back again.

And when your day is done, and you face your setting sun, may you still be holding hands!
