Social Distancing Weddings

In the midst of the covid-19 virus here on Long Island, it has been challenging for many couples who have needed to change their wedding plans. Much rescheduling has resulted of course. I have experienced a small number of couples reaching out to have a simple ceremony instead of the elegant affair they originally planned.

These last minute weddings have been such an encouragement to me! It has been so inspirational to see these couples face the fear of the virus with not only all precautions in place such as social distancing, hand washing, limiting the guests and having their wedding outside, but also strengthened with their hope and conviction to make their commitment of love now and have their party later!

As I looked at the following photos with such joy, I found myself thinking: “Social distancing and all that were in place, but did not get in the way of love being expressed today!”

Whatever your situation, just know that the words we are seeing all over- “We’re in this together!” are true! May you remain healthy at home and safe and secure with those you love.
