Couples often ask me about the length of their wedding ceremony. Venues typically reserve a half hour for their personalized wedding ceremony. In my experience a half hour ceremony is way too long for your guests to endure, no matter how interesting a ceremony is. On the other hand if your wedding is too short, it doesn’t allow for enough time for your guests to settle in, focus and enjoy one of the most special events of your life. You also don’t want a large gap of time between the end of your wedding & the cocktail hour. So the perfect length of time is 15 minutes.
