Joshua and Nicole's wedding

Joshua and Nicole contacted me in the early days of the pandemic last year. They had to drastically change their plans and have a much smaller wedding than hoped. It was just at the start of quarantine lockdown. They had been planning a wedding in upstate NY, but needed to adjust their plans quickly to get married here on Long Island with just a few days notice. Even though it was last minute, we were able to get all the necessary covid precautions in place: outside, limited number of people and social distancing.

The result was their own personal and intimate expression of commitment to love, life and each other. Although it wasn’t what they originally hoped for, their wedding day was a gorgeous sun drenched March afternoon- the perfect moment to get married! And the setting couldn’t have been more appropriate than the distinctive classic grounds of the Long Island Museum at Stony Brook. It was a memorable time for their immediate family and a few close friends.

In their own words looking back, “We often talk of that wonderful day and are really so happy that we seized the moment as quarantine was just starting.”
